For those of you watching this video who did not know Matthew..
Born April 27, 1971, Matthew grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA. He graduated from Mira Costa High, then following a family tradition, graduated from the University of Southern California in 1994. He then moved back to the beach where he lived until his death.
After college, Matthew founded and international clothing company and began a successful career in not only the clothing business, but in South Bay real estate.
Matthew was an accomplished pianist without being able to read music and wrote the lyrics, performed and produced the Arms of America CD.
He was extremely creative in his business endeavors, but most importantly, Matt was a true friend to so many people and selflessly reached out to those in need to provide his time, financial assistance or advice.
Although Matt had no children of his own, his first love was children. His time spent with relative’s and friend’s children, no matter what age, was the joy in his life.
His physical stature, exuberance and energy, love of life, humor and booming laughter were Matt’s signature with friends and acquaintances alike.
Matthew died July 13, 2006 at 35 years old. For those of us who knew and loved him, it seems there will be an eternal emptiness in a world without Matt.
There was no one like him… he was truly extraordinary
